The Senecio peregrinus "String of Dolphins" is a hybrid of Senecio rowleyanus "String of Pearls" and Senecio articulatus "Candle Plant". Like the "String of Pearls", its stems spread out across the ground, putting down roots where they touch, but are most likely seen cascading out of a hanging basket inside homes. The long vines are lined with small dolphin-shaped leaves, and clusters of tiny white flowers that smell like cinnamon usually bloom between October and December. "String of Dolphins" are a relatively fast growing plant if care for properly, and can be easily propagated to grow a full cascade by regularly pruning the stems and replanting the cuttings.
