String of Fishhook Hanging Succulent in 6" Grower Pot

$29.99

The Senecio radicans "String of Fishhooks" is a creeping, perennial succulent vine native to the drier parts of southwest Africa. In it's natural environment, its stems trail on the ground, putting down roots where they touch, however they are most likely seen cascading out of a hanging pot inside homes. The long vines are lined with banana-shaped leaves, and clusters of tiny white flowers that smell like cinnamon usually bloom between October and December. "String of Fishhooks" are a relatively fast growing plant if care for properly, and can be easily propagated to grow a full cascade of fishhooks by regularly pruning the stems and replanting the cuttings. As with most succulents, they are low maintenance plants that require very little to no attention, are easy to grow, and are capable of adapting to any type of environment making it ideal for any home, office, or garden. Just be sure to avoid overwatering to prevent root rot, and keep out of direct sunlight. Another reason for the popularity of succulents is their ability to help improve the air quality. They help to increase oxygen levels and humidity and reduce carbon dioxide, levels of air pollutants, and airborne dust levels, all of which help us breathe better. There is no end in the number of creative ways to fill your space with these stunning succulents.
